Ax and the Hatchetmen – Lucy (Lyric Video)
Ax and The Hatchetmen have released the lyric video for their new song Lucy, an upbeat pop-punk track reminiscent of both The Plain White T’s and The Beatles. The latter receives a homage within the film.
Lucy is included in their debut album So Much To Tell You, out via Arista Records on October 24, 2025. This is a 12-track LP produced by Jake Sinclair (Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, Pink), who even included an old demo by Rivers Cuomo (Weezer). The disc has many fan favorite tracks from Ax and The Hatchetmen’s previous EP. But the standout by far is Lucy, which has many streams on Spotify. In the record, you can also find the first single Oasis, and other great songs, such as 7×9 and Blurry Lights, featuring Albert Hammond Jr. of The Strokes.
Formed in Chicago in 2018, Ax and The Hatchetmen comprises six members, including Axel “Ax” Ellis (singer and lead guitar), Sal Delifippis (guitar), Hunter Olshefke (bass), Nick Deputy (drums), Phil Pistone (trumpet), and Quinn Dolan (saxophone). The six met in music school, where they studied jazz.
