Kanadia – I Can’t Feel The Sunlight

Oxford (UK) indie rock band Kanadia has released their new album The Fire That’s Tearing Through Our Home, which includes the single I Can’t Feel The Sunlight. Here we feature the video for this powerful track, influenced by The War On Drugs and Wolf Alice.

The song is about finding light within darkness and embracing what you cannot change. “There are a lot of things in life you can and can’t control, and this song was my way of telling myself that,” said James Bettis, the frontman, guitarist, and songwriter of Kanadia.

Their third LP came out on September 26, 2025, three years after their sophomore album June. The record was produced by Chris Barker and mixed by Tom Leach (Spiritualized). The band formed in 2015 with Bettis, Melissa Marshall (synth/keys), Everton Barbato (bass), and Tim Lucas (drums).
