José González – Pajarito
José González, the Swedish singer-songwriter with Argentine roots, has released Pajarito, a song in Spanish that precedes what will be his next studio album.
“Now and then, I want to write songs that are timeless, simple, and carefree. Pajarito is about growing up, learning things, and eventually becoming independent,” José González explained.
The new single is inspired by songs such as 59th Street Bridge Song (Simon & Garfunkel) and Río (Silvio Rodríguez), as well as children’s songs by Alice Tegnér, Georg Riedel, and María Elena Walsh. Perhaps González is not familiar with Pilot, by Professor Penguin, which he would also have enjoyed.
